The appeal of Matcha spreads around the world
1. A "superfood" with high antioxidant power
Matcha is rich in antioxidants such as catechins, vitamin C, and vitamin E, and is expected to be effective in strengthening the immune system, preventing aging, and maintaining beauty and health. It is a natural superfood that can be called "drinkable skin care."
2. Improves concentration with gentle caffeine
Unlike coffee, matcha contains caffeine that is absorbed along with the amino acid theanine, so it can help you maintain concentration while calming your mind. It is said to be ideal for creative work and reading time, and is popular among professionals in Europe and the United States.
3. Low calorie and zero guilt.
The delicious taste of matcha Matcha has a strong flavor and richness even though it is plain and low calorie, and can be enjoyed as a "sensational influence" when used in lattes and sweets. It is attracting attention as a drink that can be safely consumed even while on a diet.
4. The vibrant green color looks great on social media and has great marketing effects.
Matcha's vibrant green color has a strong visual appeal that stands out in photos and videos. Matcha sweets and matcha drinks are likely to become trends on Instagram and TikTok, and are also effective for menu development and product branding.
5. A fusion of Japanese tradition and modernity.
Matcha is a traditional drink that has been passed down for over 1,000 years in Japanese tea culture, but it is also a global food that fits into modern lifestyles. Commitment to quality and safety
1. Warm climate and abundant sunshine
Located in the southern part of Japan, Kagoshima is warm and sunny throughout the year, and is characterized by thick, firm tea leaves. As a result, matcha with a mellow flavor and a good balance of umami components (theanine) and color (chlorophyll) is produced.
2. Mineral-rich soil from volcanic soil
**Kuroboku soil (volcanic ash soil)** derived from volcanoes such as Sakurajima has a good balance of drainage and water retention, making it ideal for tea cultivation. The nutrient-rich soil fosters a deep flavor and vivid green color.
3. High agricultural technology and stable production volume
Kagoshima Prefecture is the second largest tea producing area in Japan after Shizuoka Prefecture (about 25% of the national tea production), and a lot of tencha tea for matcha is also produced. Producers are excellent at mechanization and management techniques, and the stable supply of high-quality tea is a major attraction for buyers.

4. Organic and reduced pesticide cultivation is popular
In Kagoshima, there are active efforts to use organic farming and reduce pesticides, and agriculture that is kind to the environment and people is being promoted.
There are many farms that are "converting to organic" or "do not use pesticides", and it is also suitable for sourcing matcha for the EU.
5. Brand power represented by "Chiran tea"
Kagoshima prefecture has brand teas such as "Chiran tea", and they are becoming more and more well-known both domestically and overseas.
The place names "Kagoshima" and "Chiran" are becoming recognized in overseas markets as Japanese teas with a premium feel.
